11:32 p.m. - April 16, 2004 Right now I'm killing time until I can register for classes next semester. My advisor said I should not take physics and wait on that and try to get the rest of my core classes done. Right now the plan is to take 1 bio class, organic chem, anthropology and dance 100 (the last of core classes). I wanted to take a special topics history class (the history of biological contraversy...or something like that) but it was dropped at the last minute and the other history classes I want to take are all at the same time as my required classes. So what does this all mean? Well...I'll have 6 hours worth of lab time a week and plenty of time for studying and find a tutor for biology and o.chem. I already know where I'm going to put them in my schedule I just have to wait until the fall to sign up for those. If I wanted to be real mean and curle to myself, I'd take French 202 and complete that part of my major. Probably the hardest part of my whole major is the chemistry and the language. I bet you are wondering how my tests went? Well...I really hope I passed them. If I didn't then...well...it will take a mirical when finals roll around and if I get an A on the biology lab test to bring my grade to a higher D or a C. Another reason why I have to do well on my presentation. I will get all 100 points for it, I always do, but I have to make sure I get the 'goal' to the assignment, that being structor and function. Here's what I'm thinking right now...talk about the jaw structors of 1)whale sharks, 2)large predatory sharks (makos, bulls, whites..etc) 3)bottom feeders (angel and carpet sharks). I want to talk about teeth rotation and how in larger sharks their bite is made up of three seperate movements. That's the general idea right now. It should take up 8 minutes. If not, then I'd like to add how teeth pints have been used to identfy sharks from attacks (ex: great white vs bull sharks). Ugh...three minutes and counting...yes it is nice to be able to register from home and not have to wait on campus like they did back in the 'old days', but it is still a pain in the backside. It is one of two times the whole year when the computers on campus run very...very slow. At 12:00 am...everyone and anyon with a computer jumps on line to get the classes they need or want. By 12:02 if you don't have your classes, your pretty much screwed. However, the higher your standing, the sooner you get to register. Apprently, I can register with the seniors so I'll have first pick at what I need. Does not help that the classes I want don't fit into my course schdule. I am however going to take some kind of PE class...either a dance class or a body/toning class. Something that only grades you for showing up and checking your brain at the door. Well, time to get this thing over with. I know I'll be kicking myself for the schedule sometime next fall...but oh well. ~*~Dream Dancer~*~
