4:11 p.m. - June 23, 2004 Yesterday, since I had the day off, I decided I wanted to go to this town called McCall and ride my bike around and see the town. I spuidly asked my roomy if she wanted to come and said I wanted to leave no later than 9 in the morning and the sooner the better because it is a three hour drive. Anyway about an hour and a half into the drive she decides to tell me that she needs to be back by 6 that evening. OH my GOD! I thought I would kill her. We get to McCall in time to grab a quick bit to eat (it is now 11:30-12) after lunch drove to the other side of the lake to unload the bikes. An hour and half later, the bikes were back in/on the car and she's asking why we could not ride any more. Well, if she wanted to be back in Lewiston by 6 we had to leave now. It was pushing 2:30-3:00 when we finally left and I know my car would not have the power to fly up the White Bird grade without blowing the engin. Hey, it is a small car and the two bikes and my roomy were just enough weight to cause it to drag the whole three hours. In other words, in stead of going 65-70 (if it were just me and one bike), I was lucky to even get my car up to 60! And grade is something like 7 or 8% so 45 was about all I could go. Anyway, I learned something very important...she is never coming to McCall with me again. And if she does, I don't care if she gets back my 6 to check the mail. Yes, that's right...she needed to be back in Lewiston to check the mail folks. Reason? Didn't want daddy to find an overdraft notice which would mean she would lose her car for a little while. So as 'punishment' to her...she does not get my check for my half of the utilities until later this week. I was planning to spend the day ridding my bike and seeing some of the places around McCall that I don't normally get to go to. I do however, have my dad convenced he needs to come with me next time so he can go fly fishing. I found a perfect little stream for him and I've always seen fish. Also, I think that if I can pull this off, I'm going to try for a mad dash drive to visit this aquarium that I've wanted to see for a long time. If I do such a thing, it will be towards the end of summer before school starts back up again. According to Mapquest.com, it is about a 18 hrs drive from where I live...so that's two days down and two days back which means I'd need at least seven days to see the aquarium, see the town and drive back. We'll see if that happens since I still need to put $500 into my car before next spring. JOY! Well, I'm off to see Shreak 2 (finally!) I've heard its funny and I need a good comedy after yesterday's desaster. ~*~Dream Dancer~*~
