I had the POWER...and survived!!!
After I told you all that I was in charge for a day, I guess I should tell you how things went, right? Well, in all honsety, the day went perfect and lunch ran smoothly without any problems and for the most part, the open was fine too (even at 6:30!).

Now, because I was left to my own accord, it goes under Merphy's Law, that things should go wrong only because I don't know what's going on, right? Well, true to form, there were a few little problems.

Sunday night, our pain the ass shake machine up and died...again. This is like the 10th time this has happen since summer has started and we are becoming great friends with the maintance people who come and fix our machine. Anyway, Monday morning, my manager called the maintance team to have them send someone up the hill to look at our evil thing. Then she leaves. Ok, problem one solved, or at least will be.

Part of the morning openers job it cook pasta. I cooked some pasta without any problems, even though I probably didn't need to, but oh well. Better save then sorry. After turning the pasta cooker off, cleaning it and filling it back up with water, the stupid thing would not heat the water up. No big deal, by this time Mr. Maintance person showed up to look at the shake machine so I asked him to look at the pasta cooker as well. Ok, problem two solved.

Then about 8:45, I get this call from FSA, one of the companies we order food from. They wanted to know if we had an order. And why are you asking such a question? Wasn't the order done? So I asked the lady to call back, while I try and find someone who could help walk me through the order. Well, just because all the managers had their cell phones, doesn't mean they can recieve any called in the middle of the river. All I got were everyone's voice mail. Nice. FSA called back and I explained to her what the situation was and asked when was the latest she needed the order, that why I could still try and get a hold of someone.

Now that I was given a time frame, I could relax some and play phone tag until someone talked to me. Luckily, Jan from the main office was coming to help us (since the store can't be left unattended with a supervisor). And the two of us were able to come up with an order. We may have been short on a few supplies but at least we got what we needed. So problem three, all taken care off.

So, in short, all the problems were fixed by the time I went home. The shake machine was working again (but died again today...go figure ~_^), the pasta cooker started to heat the water up and was ready before anyone ordered any pasta dishes, the FSA order when in and the building didn't burn down and people got their food. So, hey! It was a pretty good day!

I won't work with my boss until Friday and then I'll find out what he has to say. If I did anything 'wrong', it was not calling him first about the order. But he did get called when the order was sent, so that has to count for something, right? We'll see. Maybe, we might talk supervisor a bit more. I need to find out from my boss what it is he wasn't me to do.

When I had my eval, he couldn't even come up with anything for me. But I think now, I can talk to him a little bit easier.

Well, I'm beat and sleep sounds pretty good right now (after I kick the two cats off my bed first -_-*).
