11:18 p.m. - October 05, 2004 Anyway, I had my genetics test last week and it when very well, much better then the last test. I was aiming for a B but instead nailed a C. Yes, a C, but it was not an F like my last test so clearly much better. Then I had my microbiology "quiz" on Friday. I think I did ok on it, but we'll have to wait until I get it back tomorrow. I also managed to sit down and type up a rough draft for a resume and something of a cover letter, which I still need to finish. On top of that, I need to get them proofed and still fill out the application. All in all though, the stress level has come down some and after the 15th of this month, I should be able to think a bit more clearly. Afterall, once I interview, there is nothing else I can do but wait. Maybe just as bad as not being prepared, but at least I won't have the paper work to deal with. Speaking of...I found some more paper work for the internship I need to work on...damn. So much to do and so little time. It will all work out in the end...I hope. I had a very odd conversation tonight. I have been taking up the habbit of hidding at work to study and normally this works out because no on bugs me. It was surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night though, but that is beside the point. Anyway, I was busy working away studying/reviewing for my chemistry test tomorrow when this old man in is late 70s started talking to me. At first he was asking what year I was in school and what I was studying and some pretty general questions. Then he started talking about how it is amazing that how much science has progressed over the last several years since he was in school and that we are now learning there are more in the world then just humans like how cells function. Then somewhere he started talking about reading the Bible and compairing it to one of my text books, mainly my chemistry book, and how there are different levels of reading/understanding. Like I can read my textbooks once and know the general idea of what it is talking about, but the more times I read the book the more I understand what it is saying. And the Bible is the same way. I can't remember all the details, but it was pretty intersting conversation. It did get me thinking though, especailly how when your parents tell you something and you ignor them, but when someone else says the same thing, it sounds like wisdom. It is funny how that works out. I lost an hours' worth of study over that, but it was still a good converstation. So I guess that would deffinatly go under the catagory of unsual things which have happened lately. Well, I need to get some sleep. I was planning to work on my cover letter some tonight, but I'm too tired and need to get up tomorrow morning to study before class starts and print my notes off too. I really need to get power point on my computer since all of my profs. have notes on line but since I don't have a power point programe I can't download them. Very annoying. Well, I'll keep you up dated on what happens with everything (tests, work, interview, etc). I'm sure this won't be the end. ~*~Dream Dancer~*~
