10:36 p.m. - October 09, 2004 This week has gone by in a blure...come to think of it, this semester in general has. I really don't remember school actually starting. I remember working and then going to class. I don't remember anything of break in between though... Well, I did good on my chem test this week. I got 60 our of 100. Now some would say that's bad, but considering I got a 30 on the same test last year, 60 is much better! Not to mention there is a curve in the class and it is pretty steep too. Mid-terms are suppose to be posted next Monday so I'll know how I'm doing in my classes. I've been off work for about an hour now and have made about three attempts ti rewrite both my cover letter and my resume. I took both copies to the Career Service office and them review them. In short; they were both crap. On the plus side though, I did get some tips on how to take what I have and improve on it. The cover letter was the better of the two and the resume just needs to be thrown out and started over again. Which brings me back to the other Disney stuff. I finally tracked down my boss this week. And true to form, he fogot about my letter of recommendation. This is why I told him about the letter almost a month ago. -_-* I did get the application filled out, and just have to 'fluff' some stuff on the Advanced Intern application before I print a final copy of that, and make a photo copy of my program review from two years ago. So over all, I'm not too far behind but I did want to have all this stuff done by now. So what did I get done this week? Well, I got my genetics test back with a C on it, same with my last Micro 'mini test'. Not too shappy but could be better and I have tests in both of those classes this week speaking off...*avoids making contact with the textbooks* I also wrote a letter when I was suppose to be studying for one of my tests...oops! And then there was today. The one day this week when I was able to sleep in and Lady Bug wouldn't allow it. First off, I set my alarm for 8:30. On a normal day, it starts ringing at 5:30, but could kitty take the hint? Nope. About 7:30 she decided it was time to wake up and play, and thought the best possible way would be to paw her way through the blinds to get to the window. So after hearing the blinds hit the window for about 30 minutes or so, I was finally able to fall back asleep... ...only to wake up to the alarm going off and a cat tail in my face. Yes, good times. After a few rounds of the snooze button and a cat finally tired out again, we curled up and slept for anothe hour-ish. 9:30 roles around and Lady Bug is back to hitting the blinds against the window. But did that get me up? Oh no, she had to try something new! Board with the window game and deciding that she needed to be petted, she took to batting my glasses on the night stand. However...two swats into the game and the glasses fell off the ledge, bounced and went somewhere. So now I'm stretched over the bed, trying to feel for my glasses that should be 'right there', and Lady Bug keeps getting in the way by having me pet her. Finally, I have to get up since I need to be at work at 11:30. To solve the issue of where my glasses went, and since I could not see more then three inches infront of my face, I put my contacts in. Ouch! Very very dry eyes and contacts don't mix, but I did find my glasses. They were under my bed and had landed in the shadows that I could not see them. I think I spent a good 10 mintes look for them this morning, if not longer. After taking a shower I getting ready for work, I went to set my Lion King watch because it stopped running in the middle of the night. Seeing as I'm so smart early in the morning, and I figured I could read big red numbers without the aid of visual assistance, I promply lost the knob to my watch. So now, my poor lion king watch of almost 10 years is dead. Let's all have a moment of silence for this faithful watch featuring Pumba and Timon, and their lunch (three different bugs). *pauses and tries not to cry*
Well, it has been a long tramtizing week/day and I can't think of anything smart to say/type about me on my resume. So I'm going to take my cat, and go to bed. Hopefully, tomorrow I will find the knobby thing for the lion king watch. Until then, glummy little eeyor will have to accompany me on my wrist. He helped me get through the last Pumba and Timon tragety two years ago when the stupid Wal*Mart lady shamed the gears while replacing the watching battery >.< Yes, I'm still bitter about that since it cost almost $100 to have the watch repaired. Yeah, I know. Should have given up then, but NO! I will never give up! I will do everything in my power to bring Pumba and Timon back to life!!! But first.....some sleep. ~*~Dream Dancer~*~
