8:00 p.m. - February 05, 2005 Sorry everyone for the long dealy on an entry. I do have a few good things to report. For starters, I have not killed any children yet so that is a good thing. I also restrained myself from tracking down all the evil cheerleaders to tell them to shut their traps today while they cheered there way through the park. No, I'm not kidding. As one big happy squad they cheered their way through the park to make sure everyone knew there were in town...lucky us. So what have I been up too? Well, work for one. What exactly do I do for work you may ask? Simple really. Every morning, I take a bug box and show it the guests. The bug can be anything from a millipead, one of two types of scorpions, some species of spider, lubbar grasshoppers or a species of trantula. If there are no bugs, I will talk about some of the animals in the Oasis of the park. ALl this is a means to slow people down from running to the safari ride. Once I'm finished with the bugs in the morning, I move to my first location for the day. We have six kid's discovery clubs (KDCs) all over the park. The goal of these KDCs is to teach kids to have an appreciation for nature and give them ideas to help out in their own backyards. It's kind of a cool idea but the activties become very repetitive for us. So I will move throughout the day working at one of the six KDCs or talking about various animals all over the park. Each location has its challenges and so far I have yet to make a kid cry so I guess that is a good thing, right? Anyway, that is what I do for my job. Anything esle? Well, this week was the last week that cast members got a 50% discout at the dinner show at the Pollynasian Resort. My roommates and I went to the show for some quality bonding time and had a lot of fun. It was all you can eat and the show was pretty impressive as well. It was wortht the price of the ticket and I hightly recomend the show to anyone planning a visit to the Sunshine State and Disney to check it out. Last weekend I spent it walking thought the parks on my own. I know kind of lame, but that's ok. I bought a guide book to "hidden Mickey's" that are all over the parks. So tomorrow, I'm going to check out MGM Studios to see how many of them I can find. It should be a fun challenge. There are over 400 hidden Mickey's and I will be here for 5 more months. I'll tell you how many I find by the time I go home. Well that is all I have to report right now. Monday my car will make another visit to the car dealer to have some work done on it. My car was fine until about 100 miles out of Orlando. So all the money I make (which is not a lot) will go into the 'get the car fix to get me back home' fund. You can bet i'm happy about. ~*~Dream Dancer~*~
