Washing off the dirt and dust
So it has been some time since my last entry. I don't know if any one still reads this, or even read it on regular basis to begin with.
So what am I doing? Where have I ran off to? And any other questions you may have.
I don't remember where I last left off on my entry here but I will just say that I spent 10 months working for the local 4-H office devloping their afterschool program. It went ok, but it was a one year assignment. I applied for a job with the Disney company, was accepted and then moved to Orlando to work with Disney's Animal Programs.
I'm stationed at EPCOT, at The Seas. I'm part of the education team and work with school group and the dolphine time. I'm currenty looking into getting crossed trained with another team in my department. I hope it all works out.
My ulimate goal is become a full time employee or gain more skills that I can take with me another zoo/aquarium. I'm in that odd "Done with college/finding job" stage. In other words trying a bunch of things until something sticks.
Until my plans play out, I'm also moonlighting at Starbucks. This helps to pay for my coffee habit and provide not only the extra income I need but also supliment with health insurance. So it all works out.
On thing I did get to bring with me from the wheat feilds was my cat, Lady Bug. Yep, I packed up and hulled her 3000 miles across county with me. She settled in right away.
That's what I've been up to. i don't know that is counts as exciting or not, but I do have plans. I'm looking into taking a few classes (kickboxing, Spanish, French, SUCBA lessons) to keep me busy and try to meet new people.
If you have been reading this sorry diary, you know that I'm not very sociable so the more things I try, the more likely it will be that I'll make friends.
In the mean time, I've got my computer and few books.
